Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Crohnies and Lucky Coiners!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and festive period, and I want to thank you all for giving me a well needed break from blogging but I’m back now with a new attitude and I’m planning on blogging as often as possible in 2016.

Just to get us started I thought I’d tell you all about my new hair to match the whole new year, new start trend everyone has been talking about.

Quite a few of you know I lost my hair a few years ago and I have HATED my short hair ever since (it is taking forever to grow!) I had to get it cut and I’ve tried everything from bonds to wigs to clip in extensions and even trying to embrace the shortness but I just can’t do it, it’s not me and I’m not me while I spend hours every day feeling like I have to perfect my hair when nothing will do that since I hate it being shorter than I ever wanted.

Here’s’ what I started with 2 weeks ago, a long bob that was as black as possible… I wanted ombré with dark roots in to blonde and I wanted a weave so it was longer and thicker too.
As you can see my hair did me no favours, I could rival Snow White in the pale sickly look, so I really wanted to focus on lightening up my hair and giving me back some colour to my face and hopefully not get so many “are you okay?” Questions on a daily basis.

I went to a local sailing called Mia Strada who I have to say have been amazing, seriously there is such a lovely atmosphere and these girls couldn’t do more to help and make me feel pretty for once and let’s face it, who doesn’t love a bit of pampering! This is the picture I went in with… I won’t lie I had a hard time picturing how I’d go from black to this but I was insanely impressed by The girls in the shop, they did an amazing job!

I knew it would take 2 sittings, first to sort my colour and colour matching for my new hair first then the weave.

This was how I left after my first appointment, I love the bronze colour they managed to get with just one sitting with bleach! I went back a week later once my hair had been delivered and after some more colouring to match the extensions to my hair, this was my end result!

I really think the colour makes me look so much more healthy! It was a much needed change and hopefully the first new beginning to this year!!

So happy new year guys and I’ll be back soon, promise!
